112年10月14日（六）14:00-16:30線上研討會「台灣投資者在印度的法律指南」

本會ADR委員會、特許仲裁學會東亞分會臺灣支會、東吳大學法學院暨法律學系、眾才國際律師事務所與印度Dentons Link Legal律師事務所於2023年10月14日（六）14:00-16:30共同舉辦「比較法制系列講座」的第一場線上研討會「台灣投資者在印度的法律指南」，敬請各位律師踴躍報名。

＊本次研討會邀集國內外知名的國際經貿、跨境投資領域的學界與實務專家，由東吳大學法律學系專任助理教授何婉君博士和行政院經貿談判辦公室張毅鋒助理談判代表共同開場致詞，由特許仲裁學會資深會員張詩芸律師主持，並特別邀請到：

👉 印度律師、英格蘭及威爾斯事務律師Santosh Pai分享Legal Guide for Taiwanese Investors in India（台灣投資者在印度的法律指南）（英語進行）

兩小時的研討會將初步介紹印度法律制度，包括印度法律制度的演變、印度憲法的主要特點、立法過程的說明、聯邦結構的概述、爭端解決機制、外國直接投資規定、公司法、契約法和勞動法，緊接著有向講座提問的問答時間。在印度與台灣的貿易和投資關係日益增長的背景下，對於希望了解更多印度法律制度的政府官員、律師、商業專業人士和學生而言，將會獲益良多！

The ADR Committee of the Taiwan Bar Association, the Taiwan Chapter of CIArb East Asia Branch, Soochow University School of Law, Chen & Chang, Attorneys-at-Law and Dentons Link Legal will jointly host the first session of the online "Series Talk on Comparative Legal System Studies" titled "Legal Guide for Taiwanese Investors in India" (online) on 14 October 2023 (Saturday) from 14:00 to 16:30. We cordially invite you to participate.

This session will feature renowned experts in the field of international trade and cross-border investments. The opening remarks will be delivered by Wan-Jun Wendy Ho, SJD, Assistant Professor from the Soochow University School of Law and Mr Phil Chang, Deputy Assistant Trade Representative of the Office of Trade Negotiations of the Executive Yuan. The session will be moderated by Alison Chang FCIArb and we are honored to have:

👉 Santosh Pai, an Advocate of India and a solicitor of England and Wales, who will share insights into "Legal Guide for Taiwanese Investors in India" in English

This two-hour lecture will serve as an introduction to the Indian legal system. It will touch upon evolution of the Indian legal system, salient features of India’s Constitution, a description of the legislative process, overview of the federal structure, dispute resolution system, foreign direct investment regulation, company law, contract law and labour laws. The lecture will be followed with a Q&A session to entertain questions from the audience. It will be useful for government officials, lawyers, business professionals and students that are interested to learn more about India’s legal system in the context of growing trade and investment ties with Taiwan.
